Check out these spectacular Fall destinations for 2019!

Prince’s Island Park – Calgary

Calgary is one of the best cities to visit in the Fall because of the mountain backdrop and river that runs through the city surrounded by trees. Nestled along the beautiful Bow River, Prince’s Island Park is a great place to walk with friends. You’ll see the gorgeous Fall colours reflected along the river, which also mirrors Calgary’s famous downtown.

Calgary Farmyard – Calgary

The Calgary Farmyard is always putting on exciting events throughout the year, but in the Fall, themed events include the Pumpkin Festival, Flashlight Nights, and the 11-acre Corn Maze Adventure! The Farmyard transforms into dozens of beautiful Autumn shades which is why it’s one of the best Fall destinations.

Edmonton Corn Maze – Spruce Grove

One of the best Fall traditions is getting lost in a corn maze and dodging scarecrows! The Edmonton Corn Maze is switching to their Fall hours on September 24, and they’ll even be open on Thanksgiving Monday from 10am – 8pm if you’re looking for something fun to do.

Prairie Gardens – Edmonton

Prairie Gardens, just 25km north of Edmonton, is one of the most fun Fall travel destinations in Alberta because of all the different events they host. This weekend, they’re having the ‘Fall-o-Wee’ Harvest Fest which has multiple interactive activities for kids along with music, baby farm animals, decorative displays, and a Fall market. Be sure to check out the ‘From the Farm’ Cooking Classes and the Haunted Pumpkin Festival too.

Bower Ponds – Red Deer

If you need a bus from Calgary to Edmonton, or the other way, consider stopping in Red Deer for a bit. Bower Ponds overlooks the Red Deer River, so there’s lots of bright Fall scenery to enjoy as the leaves change. They also have Maple Bacon Fries available at their Café, which would compliment our Canadian Fall weather quite nicely.
