Shipyards Christmas Festival features live music, an artisan market, photos with Santa, and lantern building! It’s perfect for a night out with fellow peers or your loved ones. Free ice skating will be at the Shipyards Commons, so bring your skates to hit the brand-new rink. There are also free snacks and goodies – so you can stuff a few extra cookies in your pocket, maybe for a future study treat! A unique aspect of this event is that the boats in the pier are decorated in with Christmas lights, making it one of the most magical Vancouver free Christmas events.

Surrey’s Santa Claus Parade of Lights is celebrating its 14th year, kicking off the holiday season each December. It takes place in the heart of Surrey, winding through the streets of the famous Cloverdale district. The parade includes Big Rigs decorated to the nines - some are even transformed into Santa’s sleigh! If you’d like to give back, grab your extra soup cans from the back of your cupboard as there will be vendors collecting for the . What is your favourite Christmas movie? It may be playing at the Aberdeen Mall Cineplex in Kamloops this December! For one day only, they’ll be showing the classic A Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, and Gremlins. Bring your friends and family to this free event and enjoy these timeless classics. There’s nothing better than cozying up to a Christmas flick, while simultaneously stuffing your face with popcorn, candy canes, and hot chocolate! No ticket is required and 100% if proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.

The Festival of Trees at Mission Hill Family Estate is happening now until January 4, and it’s one of the most beautiful Christmas events. The different themed trees each tell a different story, guiding you through the many areas of the winery. You’re welcome to bring donations and vote for your favourite Christmas tree, with all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. This event is guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit and entertain with all the twinkling lights cascaded across the winery.
