Edmonton, AB. September 10, 2020: Ebus, sister company to the Alberta based luxury intercity passenger service Red Arrow Motorcoach, is thrilled to partner with Edmonton Transit Service to offer a safe and seamless connection between Edmonton Transit Service routes within the city of Edmonton and the Ebus inter-city network across the province. Beginning September 17, Ebus departures and arrivals from Fort McMurray, Red Deer, and Calgary will be using Kingsway Transit Centre as an additional stop on the current Ebus schedule.
This private/public partnership exemplifies the City of Edmonton’s commitment to ensuring services are flexible and can accommodate its growth to meet the transportation needs of residents and visitors, both now and for the future. Ebus, a privately held Edmonton-based company, shares in the vision to improve mobility and offer safe travel solutions for Edmontonians and Albertans.
“Ebus is thrilled to be a partner with the Edmonton Transit Service at this convenient location, allowing for multi-modal transportation and more choice for the public,” says John Stepovy, Director, Motorcoach for Ebus. “The ability for us to drop off and pick up passengers at Kingsway allows for improved regional mobility and contributes to the city’s prosperity as a whole. Our Safely Clean program also ensures passengers can travel with the utmost confidence.”
"We are excited this agreement provides an additional regional travel option and greater connectivity for passengers heading to and from Edmonton,” adds Eddie Robar, Branch Manager, Edmonton Transit Service, City of Edmonton. “This new option improves access to health, education and employment opportunities in Edmonton."
Ebus and Edmonton Transit Service share in their commitment to safety and as such, passengers are required to wear face masks while traveling on both networks.
